With two of the most anticipated IT conferences approaching, NEC's latest advancements in their Unified Communication (UC) solutions were ready to be debuted. Our team was asked to develop a campaign that would target companies trying to equip themselves with the tools to welcome the changing landscape of teamwork.
My job was to develop the a look and feel that could excite organizations about NEC's platform through a landing page and print collateral.
Seeing the spike in remote work within organizations, NEC saw the opportunity to bridge the gap between teammates through their UC platform. By adopting NEC's platform, employee productivity would increase and the ability to collaborate would improve while working at the office or in transit. Organizations that implemented "Bring Your Own Device" policies would see even greater benefits due to the platform's mobile integration.
The Empowered Workforce messaging focused on the surge of millennials entering the business world. With this in mind, I developed a simple narrative highlighting key aspects in an employee's daily life. How would the work day start? Would there be a commute? What communication tools did we want to highlight?
As the world shifts toward the digital landscape, we are seeing an increase in the graphical representations of both concrete and abstract concepts. Imagery, in many instances, replaces text to break the barriers of language, so why not use iconography to tell the narrative?
Using the iconography that I developed, I created a whimsical animation that walked through some key benefits of the platform.

We needed a simple responsive landing page for lead capture. In exchange for visitors' basic contact information, we provided reading materials on the benefits of NEC's Unified Communications offerings.

To help drive traffic to the booth and landing page at the conferences, I designed cards that would be placed in attendees’ rooms as well as inserts that were dropped into goodie bags given out at event registration.

Initially, the iconography was developed specifically for this campaign. However, the designs garnered such great response from our internal business units that we were asked to create more icons for various projects and initiatives that turned into an entire icon library for NEC.
